Becky from Newcastle Afoot
Newcastle Afoot is a local guided tour business offering walking tours, scavenger hunts and an array of other fun activities across Newcastle.
Using her knowledge of urban design and interest in art and culture, Director Becky encourages visitors to find some of the elements she believes make Newy a “go to” destination. After moving to the former steel city over 5 years ago, the self-confessed “geography and architecture nerd” has dreams of sharing her passion with anyone who’ll listen.
Newcastle Afoot brought The Big Picture Fest Newcastle to the city in 2020, organising 13 large-scale mural artworks. The behind-the-scenes stories of these murals are now explored on Newcastle Afoot’s street art walking tours.
In 2022 Becky and her growing team launched Newcastle Afoot Education, which is quickly becoming the premier curriculum-focussed excursion provider for primary and secondary schools throughout the Hunter Region.
