Startup founders and CEOs regularly work with Melanie to build their business’ self-awareness and improve staff’s mental health.
Melanie guides leaders, showing them how to engage with staff in a meaningful way. Since she started this work nearly a decade ago, she’s counseled a variety of businesses large and small.
From putting coaching plans in place, to developing systems, to recruiting good employees, Melanie produces startups and teaches businesses to flourish. Melanie sits on boards, works with them and builds them.
She started working with boards in 2010, and she currently sits on two. She’s President/Chair of a board that grows regional-based start-ups, Regional Angels, and she’s a board member at co-working space The Roost Creative.
Her experience and personal touch allows for genuine communication between herself, leaders and staff.
In 2005, Melanie was in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. She was determined to overcome this obstacle and used the power of neuroplasticity to rewire her brain. After the injury she received her Master’s in Dispute Resolution and also hiked to Everest Base camp. Conquering this challenge gives her a unique view of the world and is an asset when it comes to her profession.
Her deep comprehension of challenges, personal struggle and mental blocks allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level. She just recently moved from Brisbane to Newcastle, and she’s excited to continue mentoring and building relationships here.
